I TAKE A MOMENT
to really look at nature outside my window
I AM GRATEFUL
to be making a living as an artist
I AM FEELING
the chill in the morning air
I CAN SEE
I burned the toast
I AM HEARING
NPR
I AM CREATING
a logo for my greeting cards
I AM MISSING
travel
I AM HOPING
to do some adventuring in 2010
I AM PLANNING
to go to Italy and Greece
PHOTO TO INSPIRE

sigh — i just love your art — some of the imagery makes me think of lascaux in color…i’m with you on the travel! good to see you’re doing a card line (a most affordable way for me to get my hands on your work until i can perhaps get the real thing)…
I find myself wondering what happens when an artist, who already lives with her eyes wide open, REALLY looks at nature. I have this image in my head of a vortex opening up in each eye, and every detail of God’s glory suddenly being sucked directly into the artist’s soul/brain – to be rearranged and summed up, or taken apart into elements and recombined and then shot out again of the artist’s palms onto paper or walls or into the air as music or sprayed all over the world as the artist, dancing, serves as a sort of beauty-sprinkler system.
I have given up on travel. Every year that goes by, I love home more.
lindy, i was blog surfing and found your beauuuuutiful blitz of joyful swirling and whirling wonders! i join you in imagining peace…lovely to visit here!
