Greetings! September has come upon us! I love this time of year. It's warm yet there is a chill in the air. I'm looking forward to the aspens in our yard turning bright yellow and soon the pears will be ready to pick in our tiny orchard! In this newsletter I want to tell you about my show at the Tumalo Art Co. gallery with Dorothy Freudenberg. The Opening night was a great success and a lot of fun! I have some new paintings inspired by the new treehouse in our yard. Plus there is a jewelry artist named Deb who creates some amazing adornments that I want to tell you about. Enjoy!

I'm in a 2 person show titled Color, Form & Fantasy running through September at the Tumalo Art Co. gallery in Bend, Oregon. Tumalo Art Co. is located in the Old Mill district, just south of REI, 450 SW Powerhouse Dr. #407, Bend, OR 97702, ph: 541-385-9144. I had a great time at the Art Opening and lots of friends came by to see the show!
I love mini paintings! They can make a really nice colorful wall display when grouped together. I painted nine of them for my show. Each painting is 5" x 5" and they sell for $95 each or $90 each if you buy 3. They are acrylic on canvas and the paintings wrap onto 1.75" sides so there is no need for framing! I have a new series called my "Dream Tree" series. These 3 paintings on wood with the middle image painted on canvas and inserted into an area cut into the wood, like a window, are very unique. I was inspired by the treehouse that Greg built in our yard! The three paintings would make a nice tryptch but they are for sale separately as well. The titles are "My Treehouse has a Magic Carpet And A Window to the Stars", My Tree Has A Dream Window" and "Swing And Dream". A.W.E. handcrafted jewelry by Deb. I love this jewelry! Deb says A.W.E. stands for Artistic and earthy design with a Worldy flair and an Environmental lean. She does a lot of forged metal, wire wrapping and beading in her work. I think they're really creative pieces and I love the spirals! I hope to be wearing one of her pieces soon.
