Greetings! We've had a bit of snow here in Bend to get us into the Holiday spirit. I'm hoping more is on the way! We got our Christmas tree decorated and the twinkly lights put up on the house! Belle and Cody, our border collies, helped bring us some smiley faces. You can see pics of it all on my blog. In this Newsletter I have some new prints and paintings to share and an upcoming exhibit and the wonderful featured artist this month does lively landscapes in an abstract way!

In my Etsy Shop is a colorful, new print of my "Namaste" painting on the left. The original is also available for sale on my website.

I made a display of my bookmarks on our fridge. They are a fun way to bring some color into our kitchen. These colorful bookmarks make great small gifts for the holiday! You can purchase the bookmarks in my Etsy Shop >. There are five designs to choose from and as a Holiday Special, if you buy 10 Bookmarks, I will send you a free bookmark of your choice.

ORIGINAL ACRYLIC PAINTINGS
One of my new paintings is titled "Flying Toward a Slice of the Night". I'm having fun mixing some of my flying birds into garden scenes. The beautiful colors are what make this painting really stand out. It is on gallery wrapped canvas and the image wraps onto the sides so there's no need for framing. It is wired and ready to hang. And as a print, it is one of my Monthly Specials in my Etsy Shop with $5 off.

Judy Hoiness is my featured artist this month. I met Judy at the Tumalo Art Co. in Bend where we both show our art. I'm always inspired by her use of color and line! Judy is a multimedia artist using a combination of watercolor, watercolor crayons and acrylic on paper and canvas. She is passionate about painting landscapes! She has garnered over 37 awards in international, national, and regional exhibitions. You can see more of her work on her website at www.judyhoiness.com

EXHIBITION IN JANUARY 2010

Can you believe January 2010 is practically here? Oh my! To celebrate the New Year, I will be having a show in January at the Black Butte Ranch Lodge in Sisters, Oregon. I'll have some of my Native American Series of paintings, birds and a few new ones still in the works. It will Open on January 5th and run through February. There will be an artist reception but I don't have the exact date yet. I will be posting it on my website and blog when I find out. I hope you will be able to stop by if you're in Central Oregon and check out the show.

For those of you living in Brrrrrrry brrr Land, put your mittens on and get outside and have a little fun in the snow! That is what I'm hoping to do this weekend, try out some new cross country ski trails and see how far I can glide! Here's hoping your holidays are warm and bright and that you find some peaceful moments! Talk to you in the New Year! Happy Holidays from me.
