Greetings! August is in full swing! We still have lots of fun things to do during the weeks ahead. Some camping with our kayaks is in order and we went to Seattle last weekend and reconnected with old friends from my advertising work days and we went to a family reunion which was a lot of fun! In this newsletter I want to tell you about my new notecards with whimsical bird and raven art on them and I am planning my show in September at the Tumalo Art Co. gallery with Dorothy Freudenberg, a talented digital media artist from Bend. Plus there is an artist from Alaska that I want to share with you. Enjoy! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
They're really fun and colorful and I hope you enjoy them! You can purchase both sets at my Etsy Shop. |

My upcoming show is titled Color, Form & Fantasy because many of the paintings will not only be full of color but they are whimsical, fantasy worlds full of symbols and lines in all shapes and forms. Whimsical Womb II |

| Amy Komar from Fairbanks, Alaska is my featured artist for August. She says, "A common thread in all of my paintings is a close investigation of the natural world. I strive to convey both the simple beauty and the delicacy found in repeating patterns present in nature." I love her use of the white dots (I'm fond of those in my own paintings) and thin washes of irridescent paint. Amy has giclee prints available on her website at http://www.amykomar.com
