Some interesting websites to share

I thought I would share some links to some things that I’ve discovered online recently that I find interesting or useful.

BLOG LINES

I’ve been following different artists and have signed up for a number of feeds from different people’s blogs but I have been missing some of the posts because I’m not as organized with my bookmarks and emails as I should be. So when I discovered Bloglines.com, I was thrilled because now I have them all in one spot. I can go to my dashboard and find all the different feeds and websites that I am following.

ENVELOP

I’m always on the look out for shops that have unique products and designs. I found Envelop.eu when I was reading Geninne’s blog, one of the artist’s whose work I adore. She creates the most lovely bird art! She sells pillows on the Envelop website that are gorgeous!

TWITTER ART EXHIBIT

Another interesting link is regarding a Twitter Mail Art Exhibit Fundraiser that I’m going to be participating in. The Exhibit is in Norway and the funds raised will help The Women’s Crisis Center in the town of Moss, where abused women and children can get help. It’s being organized by fellow Twitter artist David Sandum (twitter: @DavidSandumArt ) who also organized last year’s exhibit which had 260 twitter artists from 24 countries participating. Pretty cool! Check back later for another blog post about my postcard I’ll be mailing to enter this exhibit.

PICASSOMIO

I found this online art gallery website, Picassomio.com, when I was searching for more places to sell my work. I read in their News section that Architectural Digest recommends PicassoMio.com as one of the places to purchase art so I thought that was a good thing. What I liked about it is you can search by color, media, size, price, type of artist, country, theme, or style of art…Wow, that is pretty comprehensive! And you can see the art against any wall color with one of their online tools. What I don’t like about the site are the google ads on it but otherwise it’s pretty nice.

I hope you enjoyed some of my links. You can share some of your  own fav websites if you would like and I’ll check them out.

I wonder what would take so that Third World countries could be part of this?
